flame & honeycomb

Product Details

This square scarf is hemmed by hand with silk thread, made from raw silk (a nubby form of silk made from silk cocoons after the moths have already left), and dyed with Black Walnut hulls gathered and sent to me by a good friend. It measures 44”x44”.

I designed it with neck adornment in mind, but it could also be an altar or table cloth, a wall hanging, whatever use calls to you.

Care Instructions:

All botanical dyes will fade faster than chemical dyes and silk can be a delicate fiber. For the most longevity, wash sparingly by hand in cold water with gentle pH neutral soap and air dry.
